Sudbury Quaker Meeting House

The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) has been active in Sudbury since the 17th century. Our Meeting House in Friars Street was built in 1805. In the 19th century a School Room was built on to the front of the building.

In 2012 our Meeting House was fully refurbished so it was fit for the 21st century. We have a kitchen, a wheelchair accessible toilet, baby changing facilities, a hearing loop in the Main Meeting Room and free Wi-Fi available throughout the building. We also have a beautiful, peaceful burial ground garden. Our Meeting House has a central location within Sudbury town centre, with public car parks, the bus station and railway station, all within 5 -10 minutes’ walk.

The School Room and Main Meeting Room are both available for hire. The kitchen and burial ground garden are also available for hirers to use during their stay. For further information contact Harcourt-Powell Chartered Surveyors, who manage our room bookings:
